UN-HOME STRETCH

We were gladdened by the responses of many of our "select friends and family" wishing us "bon voyage et bon route!" We are in the un-home stretch as far as travel preparations. While Andrea says she won't start packing until Monday night (it's a small suitcase, after all), I am at least half-way packed knowing there is a list of chores to be completed before Leslie picks us up at 9:55 a.m. Tuesday. We'll take the bus from South Bend Regional Airport to O'Hare. I have been going to sleep and waking up earlier than normal with the hope my body clock will begin to adjust to Rome time.  I have also begun the Dr. Ehret jet lag diet. Used previously, it mitigates the effects of jet lag. The bad part is that no alcohol may be consumed three days before departure or onboard the flight. What a waste of a first class ticket for me! All attempts to upload photos from the iPad to this blog have failed, as have attempts to create links to photo folders. Of course, e-mails to Google have gone unanswered.

Quick question: is this "Dr. Ehret jet lag diet" a real thing or something that "Dr. Turbow" made up probably when he was 15 and is continuing to live by this? Also, no alcohol on the flight?? Quelle horror!
